Cindy Lutz Kornet has been teaching art at Yeshiva Academy in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, for ten years. She believes all students are creative by nature and need only a guiding, loving hand and heart to give them permission to soar. Beyond inspiration, she likes to provide materials, demonstrate how to use them and then let the students’ work that its own direction.

The Star of David
I just read a post that said a conjunction of planets occurred that created a Star of David in the skies, last night. I do not have all the details, but this sounded like a true miracle of great beauty and significance.
Lovely art statement and piece. May we move towards Peace!

the artist's statement is truly beautiful. I learned my Uncle and Aunt, Romie and Blanche Shapiro endowed Bezalel with a gift for students once a year who create beautiful artistic gold and silver Judaic art as in a juried show. Since many students were not well schooled in Judaism they funded education around Judaic issues. My Uncle is recently deceased at 104 and my Aunt remains, also 104. Theirs was and is an enduring love story, and their love of art and Israel has resulted in many endowments. I know my Uncle would have loved this artistic statement.
